Join the Elevate Athletic Performance Foundation and the Park Hill Pirates for the Park Hill Day of Legends.
This dynamic community celebration will honor legendary Park Hill leaders on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Skyland Park (5600 E. 35th Ave., Denver, 80207).
The event will feature athletic scrimmages for each team and age group, cheer performances, free haircuts, a community water fight (with youth vs. adults), and the presentation of this year's Leadership and Legacy Awards, which honor and celebrate the impact and achievement of leaders in our community. There'll also be bouncy castles, face painting, crafts, music, food trucks and more than 60 vendors.
This event was created nearly 20 years ago to honor the local, national, and global leaders who have been positively influenced by their work with and participation in the Park Hill Pirates. Those leaders include former Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Colorado State Sen. James Coleman, NBA All-Star & Finals MVP Chauncey Billups, USC Trojan and All-Time Touchdown Leader Lendale White, and the Atlanta Falcon and 2019 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Calais Campbell.
This unique community event will bring together kids, families, volunteers, alumni, supporters, businesses, and others to create, build, foster and maintain connections. See you there!
